Dutch Flats Solitude
A cabin located in the southeast corner of Dutch Flats proper as it appeared in the early 1950's. It has, over time, fallen to ruin due to heavy snows and lives on now only via T.W.'s rendering.

Black Hills Ponderosa Pine
Field study of a fine pine spotted while looking for shed antlers
at the upper end of Icebox Hill in Spearfish Canyon and about a mile from the old Cheyenne Crossing Store.

Terry Peak Cedar
A scrub cedar with "character" growing on the west side of Terry Peak above the huge rock slide porphyry deposit, which is approximately half a mile long and half a mile wide.

Spearfish Canyon Windfall
A favorite "resting" spot near Spearfish Creek, which lies to the west, and the Cheyenne Crossing/Hanna area.

Rock with a View
A superb rock (approximately eight feet in height and five feet in width) that
the artist ran across while hiking, shortly before the spring gobbler season of 1966, about a quarter of a mile up the hillside around the upper end of Boulder Canyon, which is located east of Deadwood, South Dakota. The "view" is drawn from the east side of the rock looking toward the west.
